This page describes how AskMyBio, operated by Centsible Consulting LLC, uses LinkedIn API data when you connect your LinkedIn account to our platform. This policy supplements our full Privacy Policy.

- r_emailaddress — Your primary email address for account identification
- w_member_social — Ability to create posts on your behalf when you explicitly schedule or publish content through AskMyBio

2. How We Use LinkedIn Data
We use LinkedIn data only for the following purposes:

- Profile display: Showing your LinkedIn profile name and picture inside your AskMyBio dashboard
- Account linking: Identifying and connecting your LinkedIn account to your AskMyBio account
- Analytics: Displaying post performance data from posts published through AskMyBio
We do not use LinkedIn data to:
- Target advertising or build advertising profiles
- Sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own marketing
- Post content without your explicit action or scheduled approval
- Access your private messages or connections
- Scrape or store LinkedIn profile data beyond what is needed for the features above
3. Data Storage and Retention
LinkedIn OAuth access tokens are stored encrypted in our database and are used only to make API calls on your behalf. We store:
- Your LinkedIn user ID (for account matching)
- Your display name and profile image URL (for dashboard display)
- Your OAuth access token (encrypted, for API calls)
- Post IDs and performance metrics for posts published through AskMyBio
LinkedIn data is retained until you disconnect your LinkedIn account from AskMyBio or delete your account. Upon disconnection, all LinkedIn tokens and associated data are deleted within 24 hours.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share your LinkedIn data with any third parties except our infrastructure providers (Supabase for database storage, Vercel for hosting) who are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.
5. Your Rights and Controls
You can disconnect your LinkedIn account at any time:
- Go to AskMyBio Dashboard → Settings → Social Connections
- Click Disconnect LinkedIn
- This immediately revokes our access and queues deletion of your stored LinkedIn data
You can also revoke AskMyBio's access directly from LinkedIn: linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services
6. LinkedIn API Compliance
Our use of the LinkedIn API complies with the LinkedIn API Terms of Use and LinkedIn's Privacy Policy. We only request the minimum permissions necessary to provide the features described above.
7. Security
All LinkedIn access tokens are stored encrypted. API calls are made over HTTPS. We implement industry-standard security practices including role-based access controls and regular security reviews.
